Description mvgreddy 2009-10-02 18:31:55 UTC
When i opened the attached word document in OOo, the format of the file is
messed up and when i use JOD Converter to convert the same document to PDF,
the generated PDF is also messed up. Generated PDF looks exactly like when i
opened the word document in OOo.

Is there any know fix for this Issue?

I can only see that the Numbering items (1..., a...) are not there in OOo.
- With which Word version did you save the doc?
- Which OOo version are you using?
- Please clarify Platform("Sun")/OS("Win XP")...???

MRU->OD: this broke in OOo 3.1.
Here are two lists of Headings in the document which do not seem to be real
outline numberings. These are not imported at all since OOo 3.1. Maybe a side
effect of the outline level implementation.

Just to give you more details about this issue, the original word document
which i am attempting to convert to PDF is modified by multible Word Macros,
These Macro's insets data inbetween exisiting content of the document. When it
inserts the new content it statring numbers from 1,2,3 or say a,b,c but when i
right click on 1 or a starting number, and open Bullet and Numbering -->
Numbered tab the radio button selected is Continue from previous List instead
of Restart Numbering. I guess that is the reson why OOO is priting in PDF as
continued number instead of Restarting.

But in word document these numbers are restarting and that is what getting
displayed when we open word document. May be OOO need to be modified to
select/read whatever need to display instead of looking at the option whether
to restart or continue number.
